From Oregon Flora, Gardening with Natives:
Crown brodiaea is a lovely native wildflower that forms colorful carpets on hillsides, bluffs, and woodland clearings. Sparse linear leaves wither before the flowers bloom on erect scapes in open clusters. This striking wildflower has blue-purple to lavender tepals each marked with a darker central vein. The tepals frame 3 white staminodes and yellow anthers. It prefers well-drained soils and is at home in the rock garden or wildflower meadowscape.
